Forecast: An arctic storm will dive into NV/UT on Sunday and into Arizona on Monday.  The direct center of the upper cold core low will depend on where the thunderstorm dynamics will set up, but if it goes as I have it now, the low will move directly over Arizona and put parts of Maricopa, Pinal, and Gila County within the upper level divergence of the system, having enough lift and instability for a group of thunderstorms from southwest to northeast along the jet on SUNDAY and SUNDAY NIGHT … 

Some of these thunderstorms will contain frequent lightning as well as some hail… Additional forecast updates will be given before the storm arrives …
