Site:  Arizona Weather Force has issued a Flood Watch effective Afternoon through Evening Monday, August 14, 2023

Date:  8/13/23 at 9:45am PT

Forecast: An easterly wave out of Northwestern Mexico will move into the region on Monday afternoon, bringing with it fast developing thunderstorms.  These thunderstorms will be strongest in the watch area outline, with rain amounts across a widespread zone as much as over 2+” of rain in a short period of time.  Flooding will be highly likely with these storms.  

In addition to these storms, hail and damaging winds will be possible as well.  These do target the metros of Wilcox, Safford, and Clifton as well.  If you are in the watch area, do what you do to prepare for flooding in your area
