Arizona Weather Force has issued a Wind Watch for most of Arizona, effective this weekend, weekend of September 30th.

Not many details can be said about a wind event, but maps can be shown to say what type of event something will be.  The strongest winds will be across the Northern, Eastern, and Southern half of Arizona.  Wind gusts up to 40-50 mph will be likely within the yellow-shaded zones in the maps below (Reference A).

The Southern half of the state will have drier conditions, which can lead to a fire weather hazard.
