Thunderstorm Watch

by
0Shares

Issued Zones:  Southern half of Cochise County … Santa Cruz County …

Site:  Arizona Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective now through midnight tonight …

Date:  7/10/23 at 10:30am PT

Forecast: Monsoon moisture will push into Cochise County out of Mexico by this afternoon and evening, giving a window of thunderstorm activity across the watch box areas.  Storms will concentrate from an area from Sierra Vista, but maximize in coverage across Santa Cruz County.  Given we do have an upper area of vorticity in the area, we will have these even into the night hours.  So if you are a photographer, Santa Cruz County tonight is where you want to be for thunderstorm shots.

Storms in Santa Cruz County will have a chance of larger hail and gusty winds …

These storms will be southeast of Tucson as well today, but Tucson will be in the line for thunderstorm risks tomorrow (Tuesday) and additional alerts spreading that way will be issued accordingly.
