Discussion:  A ridge of high pressure will move over the area.  Already temperatures are hot out there, as is the case for the low terrain of Arizona at this time of year.  The peak of these temperatures will be Father’s Day Weekend, where easily 112-116F will be recorded in the magenta shades on the map within this article.  Those areas will be the Phoenix to Colorado River Valley, with Tucson coming a close second.  No storms are expected during this time, however this is what was stated in the previous article back on June 6th stating this type of event signals the 10-14 day start of the activity associated with the monsoon period.  (Reference A)
