Thunderstorm Watch

Arizona Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, for the following zones;

Issued Sectors:
Arizona Sector

Issued Zones: Southeast and Eastern State …

Date Issued: June 23th, 2025 at 6:50pm PDT

Discussion:  Thunderstorms across Northwest Mexico will bring a flood concern to New Mexico on Tuesday.  This area of storms will produce outflow from Mexico, into Southeast and Eastern Arizona.  With this, a small area of the state will see thunderstorm development, the first of the official monsoon season.  It will not be terribly severe, but thunderstorms are expected.  The highest concentration, according to the Arizona Weather Force model, will be Cochise County.

A Thunderstorm Watch is issued at Arizona Weather Force when conditions are possible for thunderstorms, covering 50% of the watch zone.  A Tornado Watch can come in two alerts, a regular watch for tornadoes, or the Enhanced Tornado Watch for a more severe outbreak of them over a wide area.  Thunderstorm Watches at Arizona Weather Force are private, issued ahead of time to the public by AZWF as the lead-time is extremely important to you.
