Arizona Weather Force has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Dust Storm Warning effective for July 31, 2024
Zones Issued For: Pima County, including Tucson’s zone – Santa Cruz County – Pinal County – Maricopa County – La Paz County –
Discussion: An easterly wave is coming into the forecast area for your Wednesday. This easterly wave will produce severe thunderstorms across the Santa Cruz and Pima County zones, which does include the Tucson forecast areas.
As yesterday’s update said, there would be areas of ‘dust storm’ and well, you have it from these storms in Pinal and Maricopa County. Now here is not to say you can’t have a storm, but for this round, again, Pima County will take the brunt of the rain and you get the leftovers, whether it be a storm isolated over you or a dust storm. Nothing I can do about that until this weekend when Phoenix gets whacked again.
