Watch Discussion: An upper level low moving through California and Nevada will move eastward, which will enhance the upper dynamics within the watch area. Departing storms and drier skies today will bring the instability up. Departing 500mb relative humidity and increasing low level humidity will be the reason the instability will be on the increase. Several cells crossing the watch area will be supercells, capable of tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail, and flooding.
This watch for all this will go through the night and end morning Sunday … Renewed storms are likely again later Sunday and into Monday as the upper-level low gains control.
A Tornado Watch is issued at Arizona Weather Force when conditions are possible for severe thunderstorms, covering over 50% of the watch zone, with damaging winds of over 50 mph and large hail in the stronger storms, along with tornado chances.
