Cutoff Low Storm System To Affect Arizona Starting Tonight and Last Through Thursday; Various Alerts Issued With AZWF Model Images Inside

303Shares

A storm system is set to finally break the record for dry days at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport tonight and lasting into Thursday.  Various parts of the state will see different things, so it is a bit tough to explain them all.  I’ve issued five alerts.  Those alerts are for flood, snow, and thunderstorm dynamics.  The Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Southern Arizona, extending as far north as the Southern half of Maricopa County.

Upper divergence with moistening mid-levels will contribute to thunderstorm activity throughout the period.  Here are the expected dynamics.  There are four zones in various parts of the state.  Use them below to get a good idea on what to expect in your area.

First row – Rain
Second row – Snow
Third Row – Flood Risk Zone
