0Shares

Issued Zones:  Entire Mogollon Rim Locations, including Flagstaff and The Grand Canyon …

Site:  Arizona Weather Force has issued a Winter Storm Watch effective Sunday evening through Monday …

Date:  12/8/22 at 9:45am PT

Forecast: A cold and potent storm system will move through the watch area this weekend.  The activity will start in Flagstaff and Northwest Arizona by Sunday evening, moving eastward along the rim throughout Sunday night and Monday morning.  A good 6-12″ of snowfall looks likely across the entire watch zone.  Snowfall amount maps will be given tomorrow (Friday morning).

A Winter Storm Watch means that conditions are favorable in the watch area for heavy snowfall that will lead to dangerous conditions, along with gusty winds that could approach blizzard levels.
